Memory
The Paseo de la Castellana, the main and representative axis of the city of Madrid at the moment starts with the park Jardin Botánico, appendix of the Retiro and part of large central green area of the city, looking from the South. All the way to the North there is no green zone anymore.
The plot is surrounded by one zone of greenery and the other one which links it with the Paseo de la Castellana. These give us the great opportunity to export an integral city-building performance whose design enables the creation of a Convention Center. Its different areas of congresses, exhibitions, meeting rooms and banquets are integrated into the different landscaped platforms offered by the topography of the existing land and extend beyond its limits to link with existing or planned garden areas. We wanted to create a prelude to a green area by using and enhancing the existing one on our site, a site and a building which would guide us to the current Parque Norte.
