The concept for the Auditorium is based on integration.  The main building appears to sprout from the ground as if from a seed, as if it were the natural product of an environment that has nurtured its growth. Consequently the root foundations grow out of the same sunken limestone horizon, from which the existing buildings surrounding the Auditorium also spring. It is receptive terrain which will welcome the weight of the new buildings and make room for the new construction without requiring special or expensive attention while work is in progress.
