This is a project of remodelling and extending the country house situated on a recreational farm north of Madrid.
Apart from the extension, it was also necessary to functionally unify different parts of the house, to integrate the usages and improve the circulations in the house which has, after the last adaptation, doubled its area.
The extension consists of an additional lounge area, an incorporated office area, a room for games and three new suite bedrooms added to the main volume by a passage-library.
The units of the new constructions are made of cor-ten steel and glass. These materials are light and easy to work with, and through them a silent differentiation between the existing and the new is achieved. A fold in the skin of the house.
